A patient's name, a client's file — they shouldn't leave your office. The new tools don't need them.
ClearHarbor Desktop finds the names, dates and other details that need to come out of a note or file and takes them out, right on your own computer.
Windows will ask you to confirm the download — that's expected, and we'll show you exactly what to click.
Here's what happens next
We're still early — ClearHarbor Desktop hasn't been verified by Windows yet, so it may show extra warnings during this beta. That's expected, and it's on us, not you.
- If your browser warns you Some browsers flag big downloads to be safe. If you see a warning, open the download menu — sometimes three dots, sometimes an arrow — and choose Keep or Keep anyway.
- Find your download The file is called ClearHarborSetup.exe, about 278 MB. Look for it in your Downloads folder, then double-click it to start.
- The Windows message Windows will show a screen that says "Windows protected your PC," with the publisher listed as unknown — the app is from us, ClearHarbor Technology Inc. Click More info, then Run anyway, to continue.
No Run anyway button?
On some computers, Windows blocks the file completely, with no Run anyway option. That's extra security doing its job — not a mistake you made. Check www.clearharbor.io for how to reach us, and we'll help another way.
Want to double-check the file?
If you want to be extra sure, compare the code next to your download to the code shown here. If they match, you have the real file. If not, don't open it — contact us instead.

Here's what happens next
We're still early — ClearHarbor Desktop hasn't been notarized by Apple yet, so Gatekeeper will flag it the first time you open it. That's expected, and it's on us, not you.
- If your browser warns you Some browsers flag big downloads to be safe. If you see a warning, open the download menu — sometimes three dots, sometimes an arrow — and choose Keep or Keep anyway.
- Find your download Look for the ClearHarbor Desktop installer in your Downloads folder, then double-click it to open.
- The Gatekeeper message macOS will say it can't verify the developer. Right-click (or Control-click) the file and choose Open, then confirm Open in the dialog that appears — that's expected for an app from outside the App Store, and it's still ClearHarbor Technology Inc.
Nothing happens when you double-click it?
On newer macOS versions, double-clicking may do nothing at all rather than show an Open button. Open System Settings → Privacy & Security, scroll to Security, and choose Open Anyway next to ClearHarbor Desktop. Check www.clearharbor.io for how to reach us if that option isn't there either, and we'll help another way.
